I have been teaching since 2004, and I have been at NMHS since 2014.  I graduated from McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, GA in 1987, and attended the University of West Georgia earning a marketing degree in 1991 and a teaching certificate in 2004.  Teaching is a second career for me, as I worked in Human Resources for Delta Airlines for 15 years prior to coming to the classroom.
I have 3 kids, 2 of which graduated from Douglas County High School, and one that currently attends Alexander High School.

Economics is about more than just money.  The focus of economics is the studying how people, businesses, and countries use their resources.  The course has had some major changes for the 22-23 school year moving forward where approximately 60% of the course will focus on personal finance.
