As a School Social Worker, I assist students, parents, and staff to obtain resources needed for students to achieve their academic, social, and emotional goals.

School Social Workers are the link between a student's home, school, and community.

School Social Workers can provide multiple services, such as: interventions, crisis support, mental health support, and community referrals. 

School Social Workers also:

• Enforce the Georgia Compulsory School Attendance Law

• Provide an array of services to students and their families such as, crisis
  intervention, counseling, and education in social and emotional needs

• Provide consultation and trainings to teachers and staff

• Collaborate with community agencies for the improvement of the welfare of our students
